Condoms are made in such a way, that they unfortunately transport the natural lubrication of the vagina outwards and allow it to evaporate. There are also women whose vaginal epithelium does not produce enough lubrication during "natural" intercourse. In both cases the use of a lubricant prevents stress, vaginal mucous membrane irritation, inflammation and infections. Lubricants are therefore recommended if you use condoms frequently. (If you already suffer from irritation of the vaginal mucous membrane, then
Hyalofemme will be the best product for you.)
There are lubricants which contain water and lubricants which contain silicone. Silicone lubricants conserve their lubricating effect for a very long time, as they do not dry out and therefore feel considerably "silky", but because of this are harder to wash off (you'll need a little soap). Then there are also products which combine water and silicone, using the so-called "2 in 1 formula", such as
Lubexxx, which combines the advantages of both types.
We normally recommend water-based lubricants. We would like to particularly praise the SWEDE product range (Aqua comfort, Women sensitive) here, as both types have an absolutely natural feel to them. (It really feels it if it were a "natural" lubricant.) Ultimately, the choice between a water-based and a silicone-based lubricant is a matter of personal taste however.
If you as a woman occasionally suffer from fungal or other infections, we recommend lubricants that contain substances which are naturally anti-fungal, such as Women sensitive or Hyalofemme. Woman sensitive additionally has (as mentioned above) a particularly pleasant feel to it.
If you as a woman are very sensitive and lubricants tend to make your skin "burn", then we recommend silicone-based lubricants, which are particularly non-irritant. Good quality water-based lubricants should also not cause many problems however, for example the good Aqua comfort.
Any of the lubricants that are available in our store can be used for anal intercourse. However, we particularly recommend those lubricants which are listed under the "Anal" category. These have a good and long-lasting lubricating effect. These anal lubricants are especially suitable for "beginners".
